Application Process for Adults in Vermont
Adults (18 and older) must first obtain a learner’s permit by passing vision and knowledge tests. There is no mandatory practice hour requirement, but you must hold the permit for a minimum of 30 days before you can take the road test.
To schedule your road test, you must have held the permit for the required time. On the day of the test, be prepared to provide valid proof of identity, legal presence, Social Security number, and Vermont residency.
