Parking Rules
When parking, always come to a complete stop near the curb, set the parking brake, turn off the engine, and check for traffic before exiting. On hills, turn your wheels appropriately: away from the curb when uphill with a curb, and toward the curb when downhill with a curb, to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
Parking is prohibited in many areas, including on sidewalks, within intersections, near fire hydrants (within 15 feet), and in front of driveways. Colored curbs indicate specific rules: red means no parking, blue is for accessible parking, and green allows limited-time parking. Misusing an accessible parking space results in severe fines.
