What Regulatory Signs Does the DMV Test Cover?

Regulatory signs communicate traffic laws you must obey. The most recognizable — the red octagonal stop sign and the inverted-triangle yield sign — have unique shapes visible even in poor weather. Speed limit signs, one-way markers, lane-use controls, no-turn and no-passing indicators, and HOV lane signs are all regulatory. Most appear as white rectangles with black or red text; a red circle with a diagonal slash means the pictured action is prohibited.

A set of 70 regulatory sign questions reshuffles each time: the system picks 30 for every attempt, and 23 correct answers are needed to pass. Detailed explanations clarify the rule behind each sign.
