Parking Rules
Always secure your vehicle by shifting into “Park,” engaging the parking brake, and turning off the engine. When parking on a hill, turn your wheels appropriately: away from the curb when facing uphill, and toward the curb when facing downhill, to prevent rolling.
It is illegal to park in many areas, including on crosswalks, within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, within 20 feet of a crosswalk, within 30 feet of a stop sign, and in front of driveways. Always look for and obey colored curb markings, such as red for no parking and blue for accessible parking spaces.
