License Renewal and Duplicates
Licenses in Hawaii must be renewed every eight years. Renewal can often be done online, by mail, or in person, though those with a temporary legal status in the U.S. may need to appear in person.
If your license is lost, stolen, or damaged, you can apply for a duplicate at any driver licensing office. You must present proper identification and may need a clearance letter from the Traffic Violations Bureau if you have any outstanding citations.
