North Dakota Point System
North Dakota uses a point system to track traffic violations. Accumulating too many points can lead to license cancellation for minors or suspension for adults. For example, minors under 18 will have their license canceled if they get 6 points, while adults face suspension for accumulating 12 points.
Points can be reduced over time; one point is deducted for every three months without a new violation. You can also get a three-point reduction once every 12 months by completing a state-approved defensive driving course.
