Nevada Driver Violation Point System
Nevada uses a demerit point system where traffic violations add points to your driving record over a 12-month period. If you accumulate 12 or more points, your license will be suspended for six months.
If you have between 3 and 11 points, you can have three points removed once in a 12-month period by completing a DMV-approved traffic safety course. Major offenses like DUI result in license revocation and are not assigned points.
