Parking Rules
When parking, always set the parking brake and turn your wheels appropriately on hills: toward the curb when facing downhill and away from the curb when facing uphill. Park within 12 inches of the curb on the right side of the road, unless it is a one-way street.
Parking is prohibited in many areas, including within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, on a crosswalk, within an intersection, or within 50 feet of a railroad crossing. Always obey colored curb markings, which indicate specific parking rules.
