“No Parking” Zones

Parking is prohibited in many areas for safety, including on sidewalks, in front of driveways, within intersections or crosswalks, and within 15 feet of a fire hydrant. It is also illegal to park within 20 feet of a crosswalk, 30 feet of a traffic signal, or 50 feet of a railroad crossing.

Double parking (parking on the roadway side of a vehicle already parked at the curb) is also illegal, as is parking on a bridge, elevated structure, or in a tunnel.
