Delaware Parking Rules
Always set your parking brake and turn off your engine when parking. On a hill, turn your wheels appropriately so the vehicle will roll away from traffic if the brakes fail: away from the curb when uphill, and toward the curb when downhill.
It is illegal to park in numerous zones, including on crosswalks, within intersections, in front of driveways, within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, or within 30 feet of a stop sign or traffic signal. Always observe colored curb markings which indicate time-limited or prohibited parking.
