General Parking Rules
When parking, always bring your vehicle to a complete stop, set the parking brake, and ensure your tires are parallel to and within 12 inches of the curb. Before opening your door, check your mirrors and blind spots for approaching traffic, including cyclists.
On a hill, turn your wheels appropriately: away from the curb when facing uphill, toward the curb when facing downhill, and to the right if there is no curb. Always use your parking brake in addition to positioning your wheels.
