Pedestrians have the right-of-way in crosswalks and at intersections. Do not honk at a blind pedestrian using a guide dog or white cane; simply stop and yield. When passing a bicyclist, you are required by law to give them at least three feet of space; if you cannot, you must slow down and wait until it is safe to pass.
Large trucks and buses have large blind spots, or “No-Zones,” directly in front, behind, and on both sides. Avoid lingering in these areas and increase your following distance. Always stop for a school bus with its red lights flashing and stop arm extended, and obey the “Move Over Law” for stationary emergency vehicles.
