Missouri Driver Violation Point System

Missouri uses a point system to track driving violations. Accumulating 8 points in 18 months will result in a license suspension (30 days for the first offense). Your license will be revoked for one year if you accumulate 12 points in 12 months, 18 points in 24 months, or 24 points in 36 months.

Points are reduced over time if you avoid new violations. After a suspension or revocation, your points are reduced to four. Common violations include DWI (8 points), leaving the scene of an accident (12 points), and driving without insurance (4 points).
