“No Parking” Zones in Mississippi
Parking is prohibited in many areas to ensure safety and traffic flow. You cannot park on a sidewalk, within an intersection, on a crosswalk, or within 10 feet of a fire hydrant. Parking is also illegal within 15 feet of a railroad crossing or 20 feet of a fire station driveway.
Other no-parking zones include bridges, overpasses, tunnels, and alongside street excavations. Double parking (parking on the roadway side of a parked vehicle) is also prohibited.
