Nebraska Speed Limits
The Basic Speed Law requires you to always drive at a speed that is “reasonable and prudent” for the current conditions, even if it is below the posted limit. Factors like weather, traffic, and road surface must be considered.
When no sign is posted, default speed limits apply, such as 25 mph in residential districts and 65 mph on interstate highways. It is illegal to drive so slowly that you impede the normal flow of traffic.
