Statutory Speed Limits in Mississippi
When no speed limit is posted, default limits apply. These include 25 mph in business or residential districts, 55 mph on two-lane highways, and 70 mph on interstates. In school zones, the limit is 15 mph when warning lights are flashing.
It is also illegal to drive so slowly that you impede the normal flow of traffic. On multi-lane roads, slower drivers should use the right lane.
