License Renewal and Duplicates
Licenses in Connecticut are typically valid for six or eight years, with drivers 65 and older having a two-year renewal option. You can renew your license online, in person, or by mail up to six months before it expires.
If your license is lost, stolen, or damaged, you can request a duplicate for a $30 fee. This can also be done online, in person, or by mail, and the new card will be sent to the address on file with the DMV.
