The Application Process for Adults in Idaho

Applicants who are 17 or older can apply for an Instruction Permit (IP) to practice driving. To obtain a full Class D license, you must provide proof of identity, residency, and Social Security number, and then pass a knowledge test, a vision screening, and a road skills test.
