Indiana Driver Violation Point System

Indiana assigns points to traffic violations based on their severity. For example, speeding 1-15 mph over the limit is 2 points, 16-25 mph is 4 points, and 26+ mph is 6 points. More serious offenses like reckless driving or OWI carry 8 points.

Accumulating too many points can lead to a license suspension. Your license may also be suspended for reasons like habitual violations, failing to appear in court or pay fines, driving while suspended, or operating while intoxicated.
